Just a quick heads up that there’s an important Special Meeting called tomorrow night on the Bastrop City Council. The purpose of the meeting it to set the date of the runoff election for the Place 3 slot on the Council, between Lyle Nelson (whom we support) and Lee Harle, and to swear in the new Mayor, Connie Schroeder and Place 4 Council member, Bill Ennis.
It starts at 6:30 pm at Bastrop City Hall, 1311 Chestnut. Come on over and greet the new Mayor and Council! Agenda here.
Please note that though the agenda states that the Council is going to discuss the runoff election being held on June 6, this may not be the date. The date of June 10th seems to be the most supported date and is consistent with runoffs being held in San Antonio, as well as in a number of municipalities in Tarrant, Dallas, El Paso counties.
