There’s a groundwater district election NOW, Hays County!

Apologies for the late notice, but we just received this is a note from a good friend in Hays County. She is with us on defeating Prop 6 and our focus on common sense conservation as the way to hold on to our wallets and our water.  We have met Linda Kaye and believe her to be an honest and intelligent individual, but also urge you to check out these candidates for yourselves at the League of Women Voters debate tomorrow night.

***********

Please vote in the upcoming groundwater board election for Linda Kaye Rogers. Election Day is Nov. 5.  Early voting has already begun.  See attachment for details.

Every vote will count in this election, as few will bother to show up to cast a vote. Linda Kaye has done her homework, learned the ropes and will be an asset to this board.  Her opponent is supported by Aqua Texas and Wimberley Springs Partners and those elements in our community who would overuse our shared water resources.

Please vote for Linda Kaye, and against Prop. 6, the water issue on the same ballot.  This Proposition will help the cities further degrade rural water resources by building pipelines to water city lawns.

VOTE Linda Kaye ROGERS for Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District, Place 4.  This includes parts of Wimberley, Woodcreek, Dripping Springs and Driftwood.  Check your voter registration card to see what “HT” district you are in, if you have questions about that.

And join us at the League of Women Voters debate on Thursday night, 7 pm, October 24th at the Wimberley Community Center.
