Something happened last night a bit extraordinary. The decisions on 55,000 of the 124,000 acre feet under permit applications were DELAYED until the NEXT meeting of the Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District to be held in GIDDINGS, APRIL 17th. That meeting will be held at Giddings City Hall. The meeting starts at 6 pm, with the public hearing at 7 pm.
It was standing room only last night at the hearing held by the LPGCD in Bastrop. Folks from across the two counties (Lee and Bastrop) showed up, spoke intelligently, eloquently and passionately about why the LPGCD needed to stand up for landowners, residents and the aquifer.
