Meetings Announcement & Press Release

Please our press release, “The Legislature’s Water Plan on Collision Course with More Powerful Force,” posted here.  It’s hot and will make you hotter!

Unfortunately, it appears likely that unless citizens band together to apply every means of pressure we can, the Simsboro formation of the Carrizo-Wilcox Aquifer is in danger of over-pumping at a faster rate than the Ogallala.  Environmental Stewardship just put out this important alert here.

Independent Texans is working on a number of other issues we will present at a strategy meeting for residents and landowners on Monday, April 8th – details below. (Car pools from Bastrop will be available for both meetings.  If you need a ride or want to offer one, please reply to this message or call us.)

Residents and Landowners Strategy Meeting Monday, April 8, 6 to 8 pm Giddings Public Library 276 N. Orange, Giddings, TX map here
