Tomorrow, Wednesday, at 7 pm the Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District meets at Bastrop City Hall, 1311 Chestnut. They will consider a Motion for Rehearing filed with the District in October by landowners seeking to reverse their denial of party status to protest the End Op 46,000 acre-feet mega-permit.

Also on the agenda is the expected appointment of Sheril Smith, a well-respected Lee County landowner with a record of public service as well as post-graduate work in hydrology and groundwater studies, to serve out the term of retiring Board member, Alice Darnell. Sheril recently retired from a career with the University of Texas and lives in Blue with her spouse, Clark.

Coming soon…some additional recommendations and information on contested election matters in Bastrop County. Stay tuned.
