Click on the map — you will see

Click on the map on the right. You will see that the “mega-permits” for groundwater out of the Simsboro formation of the Carrizo-Wilcox aquifer that underlies Lee, Bastrop, Milam and Burleson counties impacts an entire region.

Privateering water marketers (and the entire growth lobby) are working our elected officials hard. Their mantra is a real tip off. Listen up friends, these hucksters are incentivizing in-migration population growth and trying to move resources to areas for profit, putting an entire region — and our local economies and resources — at risk. You’re not going to let them get away with this, are you?
