Galveston Mayor, Joe Jaworski has requested that Galveston residents weigh in on a petition circulating for his recall. We met Joe when he was running for Texas Senate and really enjoyed hearing about his views and efforts.
Also, please note that we totally respect the rights of citizens to recall officials. (Unfortunately, we only have this right at the municipal level in Texas.) We also agree with the Galveston newspaper that recall is to be used for truly egregious offenses.
